CTIS’25 Workshop: Cultural Computing is conducted under the 3rd International Conference on Computer Technology and Information Science which will be held during May 27-29, 2025 in Ordos, China.
Ambient computing has brought much comfort and excitement to users. Examples are changes in the lighting based on the users’ moods or music being played. The 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics’ opening ceremony further enlightened many to the wonders of synthesizing Art and AI. The achievements of a country throughout history, came alive. Both highlight the potential for cultural computing for offline and online shopping, and to enhance convenience/comfort/style. This special session thus welcomes papers on cultural computing (digital and non-digital), with regards to:
a) Product design (digital and non-digital)
b) Performing arts (digital and non-digital)
c) Customer engagement (digital and non-digital)
d) E-education
e) E-health
f) E-commerce

Brief introduction:
My research interests are in creative thinking, design, design thinking, computational thinking, data mining, knowledge management, collaborative learning/systems, games, optimization, Art & Design. Coming from an Education- Information Technology background, I am mainly inspired by the students’ product/packaging designs when I was a Faculty in the Faculty of Creative Industries in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia, the open literature on cultural computing, and the innovative product designs, in Lazada and Shopee. I have discussed some of these innovations, in terms of lean, affordable, multi-purpose designs, in some past publications.
